South Africa sees HUGE surge of heat
As October was closing on an end, a new world record was being set for the world's highest temperature in October! The location happened to be in South Africa. And, also, October happens to be the time of year in the southern hemisphere which is still experiencing spring. Meanwhile, summer is still quite a while away, with the start of summer not coming until the winter begins in the Northern hemisphere. Perhaps, South Africa- they've got a whole lot of more hot conditions waiting ahead for them. That's when the warmer months come rolling in full blast. News of the month Oct 2015
- A rare cyclone brings a years worth of rain within two days to Yemen. In fact, the animation shows just how much rain that exactly is.
- Hurricane Patricia, strongest pacific cyclone on record, makes Mexican landfall. This cyclone was rather unusual, because with 24 hours it's winds were able to dramatically increase, as well as decrease, making it go from CAT 5 all the way down to a tropical storm and when it was still gaining strength, from 85 mph, all of the way up to about 200 mph. An extremely low pressure was also recorded. This storm can be considered arguably the most extreme hurricane to date.
- russian-plane-crash-metrojet-bomb Large aircraft falls from the sky in Egypt. The cause of the crash is currently uncertain; however, some experts conclude this crash was most likely have been caused by an internal explosion.
