- Hurricane Patricia, strongest pacific cyclone on record, makes Mexican landfall. This cyclone was rather unusual, because with 24 hours it's winds were able to dramatically increase, as well as decrease, making it go from CAT 5 all the way down to a tropical storm and when it was still gaining strength, from 85 mph, all of the way up to about 200 mph. An extremely low pressure was also recorded. This storm can be considered arguably the most extreme hurricane to date.

Keeping track of world events, news stories, and interesting articles each day. I will analyze them and if something interesting comes of it, I will discuss it in a new blog. For example, this week brought with it several interesting weather events. These may indicate something about our climate or changing weather systems. So I will create a new blog to discuss whether this really means something when it comes to climate change or if our weather systems may be changing.
